They say volunteering is a work of heart. If you’re looking to take strides towards a healthier way of living in the upcoming year, don’t forget to do something good for your heart: do something good for someone else.
Here are a few resolutions we here at the office are making for 2013:
Get Involved
“My goal is to get more involved with the local soup kitchen I used to volunteer at in high school. Even though I am involved at my church, I think it’s important to volunteer in your local community as well and take time to do things for your neighbors in need.” – Sara
Give It My All
“My resolution for 2013 is to continue volunteering every Wednesday night and to give it my ALL every time I am there.” – Katie
Be An Advocate
“With the growing influence of social media, we all have a powerful platform we can use to promote goodness. This year I’m going to do more than update my friends on what I had for lunch; I’m going to raise awareness for organizations and causes I love. Anyone can do it!”
Give More
“My resolution is to start a lasting pattern of giving back. It is pretty easy to volunteer and be involved while in a college setting, but as a recent graduate it is important for me to start getting involved and giving back to determine my behavior for the future.” – Shelby
Shop Wisely
“Every time you make a purchase, you are casting a vote for the kind of world you want. This year I am going to make a greater effort to research and select brands that are working to make their products greener and to conduct themselves ethically.” – Shawna
